It started like any other peaceful afternoon walk. Venya the dog, tail wagging, was leading the way down the forest path. Luna the panther followed behind gracefully, her black fur blending in with the shade of the trees. A few of the sanctuary staff walked with them, chatting casually, enjoying the crisp air and birdsong.
But soon… the path changed.
It began with a strange silence. No birds. No rustling leaves. Just a still, heavy quiet.
Venya stopped. His ears twitched.
Luna froze, eyes fixed ahead.
Something didn’t feel right.
That’s when they found the first “scary surprise” — a small pile of bones near the edge of the trail. Not fresh, but not ancient either. Maybe the remains of a fox or rabbit. Too clean. Too… placed.
(ENG SUB): “Who’s been here before us?”
As the team moved cautiously forward, Venya began sniffing wildly. Suddenly, he let out a short, sharp bark and backed up.
Just a few feet away was the second creepy find: a cluster of enormous snails—dark, slimy, with spiral shells the size of apples—slithering slowly across what looked like a circle of carved stones. Some of the markings were natural… others? Not so much.
It looked like something—or someone—had made a strange pattern on the forest floor.
“This wasn’t here yesterday,” one caretaker whispered.
Luna padded closer, staring at the markings. She didn’t growl, but her tail flicked quickly—a sign of unease.
Then came a sound. A twig snapping.
Everyone turned. Nothing.
No wind. No birds. Just that heavy silence again.
Needless to say, the walk was cut short. They turned back—slowly, carefully, eyes on the forest behind them.
Back at the sanctuary, safe and sound, Venya was still shaking off the weird vibes. Luna, calm but alert, sat silently at the edge of her enclosure, watching the tree line.
Whatever it was out there…
They weren’t alone.
